Kim Brener

Associate

Kim Brener is an associate in the firm's Los Angeles office. Her practice involves counseling and litigation in all areas of employment and labor law, including wage and hour, discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination and breach of contract.  She represents employers in single plaintiff and class action litigation in both state and federal courts, as well as in arbitration and mediation.  While in law school, Ms. Brener served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Daniel Curry of the California Court of Appeal for the Second District of California, Division Four.  Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Brener was an associate in the labor and employment department at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom.

Representative Matters

Ms. Brener has experience representing employers in a wide variety of employment-related litigation, including single-plaintiff discrimination, harassment and wrongful termination actions, and wage and hour class actions.  She has successfully represented employers before administrative agencies, including the California Division of Labor Standards Enforcement and the California Unemployment Insurance Appeals Board.  Ms. Brener also has experience advising employers on the employment aspects of mergers and acquisitions. She has experience drafting employee handbooks, personnel policies and employment and severance agreements.
